House at ul. Woziwodzkie 10,
near the Narew River
was part of the old
pre-war
Jewish quarter of Lomza.
At the time of World War I,
the Marczyk family lived
in this house. |

View from Lomza towards Piatnica,
where many Jewish families lived |

The heart of Lomza's commercial district is still around the square
called Stary Rynek (Old Market). Here are two sides of the square,
showing many different types of businesses at street level,
with living quarters on the second floor. |

Despite
the respect the vast majority of the Lomza population and authorities
give to the Old Jewish Cemetery, there are still those rare individuals
who perform acts of vandalism and desecration. |
